Wish Bands

It is tradition in Salvador to wear wish bands which local vendors usually throw at you to lure you into their stores. As it may seem like a scheme to get your business, we arrived at this church and saw thousands of these wish bands tied to the fence in front of the entrance. It just showed me, no matter how common and small these wish bands may seem, tradition always carries a sense of hope.
